( KNZA )--Lela Smith-Middendorf is retiring Friday as Chief Clerk of the 22nd Judicial District and Brown County District Court.
A retirement reception to honor her 24 years of dedicated service is planned Friday morning from 9 to 11 in the courtroom on the 3rd floor of the Brown County Courthouse in Hiawatha. The public is invited to attend.
After several weeks off, Smith-Middendorf plans to work part-time in the legal private sector.
