BC Student Escapes Serious Injury after Bluff Fall

(KAIR) -- A Benedictine College student escapes serious injury after brush breaks a fall from one of the Missouri River bluffs on campus.

Atchison Fire Chief Mike McDermed says the incident happened just after Midnight Sunday morning.

From there, McDermed says a rescue attempt was underway.

McDermed says Heartland Air Ambulance was called before the rescue attempt and for precautionary measures Caitlin Clark was transported to Saint Joseph where she was treated and released.

McDermed says alcohol may have played a factor in the fall.
