(KNZA)--A man wanted as a person of interest in connection with recent criminal activity in Brown County is now in custody.
22-year-old Ryan Wesley Massengill was also wanted in connection with a misdemeanor warrant in connection with writing worthless checks.
Brown County Sheriff John Merchant on Thursday alerted the public to a Hiawatha sighting of Massengill and asked for assistance in locating him.
On Friday, Massengill was located in Horton and arrested.
He remains in the Brown County Jail.
On Friday, with Massengill already in jail, he was cited for theft of gasoline stemming from a September 19th gas drive off committed at Casey's in Hiawatha.
He was fingered for that crime after a witness description of both Massengill, and his vehicle, were provided to police.
