Two Killed in Saint Joseph Crash

(KAIR) -- A single-vehicle crash in the east city limits of Saint Joseph claimed two lives and seriously injures another.

It happened Saturday night at 10:15 on Mitchell Road.

According to the Missouri Highway Patrol, a 2003 Chevrolet was eastbound on Mitchell Road when it lost control and traveled off the south side of the roadway and struck an embankment.

The impact of the crash ejected the driver, 20-year-old Aric Anderson and 18-year-old Riplea Bancroft, both of Saint Joseph.

Anderson and another occupant, 31-year-old Douglas Arrow, also of Saint Joseph, were pronounced dead at the scene.

Bancroft was transported to the Heartland Hospital by Heartland Ambulance.

The patrol says none of the occupants were wearing seatbelts.
