(KNZA)--Horton City Commissioners will meet in special session Thursday, and focus expressly on filling the unexpired term of the Parks and Recreation Commissioner.
The vacancy was created by the sudden resignation of Doctor Steve Davies on October 1st.
According to information from Horton City Clerk/City Administrator Candy Schmitt, three applications to fill the seat have been received, with Al Barton, David “Buzz” Allen, Senior, and Glenn Fetty expressing interest in assuming the Commission role.
Whoever is selected will serve in the position until the 2014 election.
The Horton City Commissioners will meet at 5:15 Thursday, at City Hall, to discuss the candidates, with one to ultimately be appointed to the Parks and Recreation seat.

I think Mr Fetty would be a great choice for this position and that he gets consideration.
