Horton Boil Advisory Lifted
10/11/2012

(KNZA)--The all clear is given for affected water customers in the City of Horton, with the boil advisory, which took effect yesterday, now lifted.

According to City Clerk/City Administrator Candy Schmidt, the Kansas Department of Health and Environment notified the City Thursday morning that water samples submitted for testing show no signs of contamination.

The boil advisory went into effect following a shut down of water service, in northwest Horton, affecting customers north of 15th Street and west of Central Avenue.

That was done in order for capital improvement plans to be completed.
