Humboldt - Table Rock Steinauer School Board Hears Report on Proposed Fitness Center
(KLZA) In the neighborhood of 50 – 60 people attended the Humboldt – Table Rock – Steinauer School Board in Humboldt last week. A good number of them attended to hear a presentation from Teena Herr about a fitness club proposed by the HTRS Booster Club. Superintendent Clint Kimbrough explained what is being proposed. The Booster Club has raised around $80,000 for the project. Superintendent Kimbrough says some ideas about the building were reported to the HTRS Board and audience during the meeting. ( play audio :49 seconds )
In other business during the meeting Elementary and Middle School Counselor Trudy Fankhauser presented information to the Board about how poverty could affect on test scores of students. ( play audio :22 seconds )
Second grade teacher Kara Engles presented information to the HTRS Board on Project Readers which the HTRS district plans to expand to more grades next school year. ( play audio :33 seconds )
