(KAIR) -- Atchison County Commissioners, acting as the Board of Canvassers, accepted 169 out of 244 provisional ballots Monday.
Of those 169 ballots, 15 included voters voting at the wrong polling place and 11 due to a different name due to marriage or change of address.
Of those not counted, 60 were not registered, nine returned a ballot after the polls closed and only one wasn’t counted due to failure to produce identification.
Specific results of the provisional ballots will be finalized at some point Tuesday.
Commissioners also accepted an unofficial 747 write-in votes cast across the county.
Notable write-ins for President included two for Texas Congressman Ron Paul, two for Green Party nominee Jill Stein and four in variations for Randall Terry.
On the local level, several uncontested offices saw several write-in challengers, including in the County Clerk’s race, 32 votes for Susan Draftz and seven for both Kimberly Dorssom and Cheryl Kimmi.
In the County Attorney race Andrew Werring had 12 write-ins, followed by Pat Henderson with eight and John Kurth with seven.
