That’s the title of this year’s special enforcement effort of state, and local law enforcement, working to keep the roadways safe during the Thanksgiving holiday week.
Kansas State Highway Patrol Trooper Don Hughes says the program, which places additional officers on patrol, is now underway(Play Audio)

The grant funding, allocated through KDOT, originates at the national level, based on the success a state shows by signing on for STEP.
