(KNZA)--Although the underway “You Drink, You Drive, You Lose” campaign comes to a close at the end of the weekend, it serves as a reminder to remain safe on area roadways during the entire holiday season.
Hiawatha Police Chief John Defore says along with serving as a reminder of the dangers of impaired, or drunk driving, such efforts also serve to remind just how important wearing a seatbelt is(Play Audio)
Defore says to buckle up every time you get inside the vehicle, and remember: if you’re heading to any holiday themed parties, make sure you have a designated driver is alcohol is part of the agenda.
