Area Resurfacing Project Now Complete
11/28/2012

( KNZA )--An area highway resurfacing project is now complete.

As of Wednesday, the Kansas Department of Transportation said a resurfacing project on a more than 27-mile stretch of K-4 Highway from the U.S. 24 junction in Shawnee County north to the Jefferson/Atchison County line has been completed and reopened to unrestricted traffic.

KDOT said crews have some minor finishing work to complete on the project, but that work will have little to no impact on traffic.

Hamm Inc. of Perry was the primary contractor on the nearly $4.4 million project, which began August 13th.
