(KAIR) -- Holiday travel is expected to be up from last year.

That’s Mike Right, Vice President of Public Affairs for Triple A Missouri, which also serves several counties in northeast Kansas.
Right says with the increase in travel, motorists are reminded to have make your car “road worthy” by checking tire pressure in all tires, including the spare, good tire tread depth and functional lights.
He also says with the winter season in full swing, to have those extra essentials in your vehicle.

What may come as a surprise to some in the light of the recent decline in gas prices, the current average for regular grade unleaded gas in Kansas is a cent higher than last year at three dollars and eight cents a gallon while in Missouri, it’s the same as last year at two dollars and 97 cents.
