(KNZA)--A selection is made, and a new commissioner appointed.
That follows a special meeting of the Holton City Commission this morning, focused partly on filling an open commission seat.
City Manager Bret Bauer says Commissioners reviewed the three applicants, and ultimately chose Holton resident Erich Campbell to fill the unexpired term.
Also applying for the seat, vacated by longtime Commissioner Janet Zwonitzer, were Twila White and Rex Larrison.
Zwonitzer, whose resignation became final at the time her replacement was chosen, leaves to serve on the Jackson County Commission, voted into that role last month.
Campbell’s employer is listed as the United States Army, and he serves as the Senior Regular Advisor to the Adjutant General For the State of Kansas.
