( KNZA )-A Hiawatha man is set to be arraigned later this month on a felony charge of abuse a child after waiving his preliminary hearing.
32-year-old Corey Spangler was bound over to Brown County District Court for arraignment January 28th.
Spangler remains in the Brown County Jail in lieu of a $10,000 bond after a request for a bond modification was denied.
He was arrested in November following an investigation by the Brown County Sheriff’s Department after reports were received from medical and school personnel involving a 5-year-old Hiawatha boy.
Authorities have not said how the victim is acquainted with Spangler.
