Seneca Man to Stand Trial on Child Sex Charges

( KNZA )--A Seneca man will stand trial on child sex charges.

20-year-old David Hobbs was bound over to Nemaha County District Court Tuesday following his preliminary hearing on charges of aggravated indecent liberties with a child and criminal sodomy.

Arraignment was set for February 28th before District Judge Jim Patton.

Hobbs was arrested in December following an investigation by the Sabetha Police Department.

He remains in the Nemaha County Jail on $300,000 bond.

In a separate case, the preliminary hearing for a Sabetha man charged with sexual exploitation of a child was postponed Tuesday to March 5th.

48-year-old Christopher Sperling was arrested in January by the Sabetha Police Department.

He remains in the Nemaha County Jail on $250,000 bond.
