More Computer Classes at Falls City Library
02/07/2013

(KTNC) - The Falls City Library – in conjunction with Southeast Community College – is offering more computer classes over the next several weeks.
The free classes are scheduled through the month of March.  Library Director Hope Schawang says they’re able to offer the classes at no charge thanks to federal funds that were given to the State Library Commission.  (play audio   :36)
Upcoming computer classes include a class on using graphics in Microsoft, scheduled for February 19th and an introduction to Excel on March 11th and 18th.
The Computer Basics 101 class, which was offered in January, will be offered again on four consecutive Tuesdays in March, beginning on March 5th.
There is limited space for the classes, so you should contact the Library in advance to reserve a spot.
On a related note, if you have received a new electronic gadget and need help figuring out how to use it, the Library offers an informal “gadget school” on Wednesday afternoons to help people figure out their new devices.
Schawang says Pat Deckenger coordinates the sessions.  (play audio  :34)
The Falls City Library has ten Kindle Fires available for checkout.
