Bond Set For Sabetha Drug Offender
02/19/2013

(KMZA)--Bond is now set for the 49-year-old Sabetha man arrested last week on numerous charges, including meth possession.

Paul Forney has a lengthy history of drug crimes, having served prison time following a conviction in 2000 for manufacturing controlled susbstances.  Released from prison in 2009, Forney has faced other drug related crimes since that time, including his 2011 arrest in connection with meth possession.

Last Friday, Forney was again apprehended on drug charges, along with aggravated assault on a law enforcement officer, fleeing and eluding, and three Nemaha County warrants. Two were bench warrants for probation violation while the third was a felony warrant for violation of the Kansas Offender Registration Act, apparently connected with his past drug convictions.

Between the three warrants, a total bond for Forney was set at 70-thousand-dollars, and he remains in custody at the Nemaha County Jail.
