( KNZA )--Voters went to the polls Tuesday in Doniphan County to narrow the field of candidates for Elwood mayor and a position on the Riverside USD 114 Board of Education.
Advancing to the April 2nd general election ballot for Elwood mayor were incumbent George Mitchell Jr. and Charles Adkins.
Advancing to the general election ballot for the District 1 position on the USD 114 board were Tina Kimberlin, who currently holds the position, and Crystal Hontz.
A low vote turnout was reported due to the weather, with only 227 casts.
