Paper Publisher Accused of Sexual Battery

(KNZA)--Allegations of sexual battery are filed in a Doniphan County criminal complaint, involving the owner/publisher of several regional newspapers. 

The complaint, filed March 14th by the Kansas Atttorney General's Office, alleges that Dana Foley, who also formerly served as a Doniphan County Commissioner, committed the misdemeanor offenses against three separate invididuals. 

The complaint states that the alleged offenses began on June 26th of 2008, involving a victim born in 1964; continued in 2009, on September 20th, 21st and 27th, with a victim born in 1980; and again occurred in early October 2011 with a victim born in 1988. 

The complaint, along with the five counts of sexual battery, also includes three counts of harassment by telephone, occurring in October 2011, and involving the third sexual harrassment victim. 

Foley is scheduled to appear for arraigment in a Doniphan County Courtroom on April 23rd. 

The case is being prosecuted by Special Assistant Attorney General Kimberly King.
