( KNZA )-A probation revocation hearing for a 22-year-old Horton man convicted as a juvenile in 2008 on charges of rape and indecent liberties with a child has been postponed until next month.
The hearing for Danny Groshong was continued Friday in Brown County District Court to April 8th.
A judge also denied a motion for a bond reduction or modification in the case. Bond is set at $75,000.
Groshong is accused of violating terms of his probation and is facing a lengthy prison sentence if his probation is revoked.
He was arrested early March 14th in Atchison on a charge of criminal possession of a firearm after police received reports of gunshots fired in a north Atchison neighborhood. Police say a rifle was found in the back seat of his car after he was stopped a short time later.
Groshong is being held in the Atchison County Jail on $20,000 bond on the firearm charge.
