(KAIR) -- A regional nature organization is hoping the warmer weather will bring a good turnout Saturday for their second annual Wildflower Walk.
The event, sponsored by the Kansas Native Plant Society, will be along the Old Military Trail near Lake Perry.
KNPS Atchison Region Spokesperson Nancy Coombs says several flowers are beginning to bloom along the trail.

The Atchison Region includes Atchison, Brown, Doniphan, Jackson, Jefferson and Nemaha Counties.
Due to the lack of parking at the trail site, interested citizens are asked to meet at Casey’s General Store in Ozawkie at one to carpool to the trail.
The event is free and open to the public.
