(KNZA)--The final tabulations are made, and with the numbers added up, the local Big Brothers Big Sisters program has raised nearly $29,000 through three Bowl For Kid's Sakes bowling events held in area communities. 

The first Bowl For Kid's Sake happened February 22nd, in Seneca, the second was held March 13th in Sabetha, and the third took place March 22nd in Hiawatha. 

Along with the combined funds of $29,000, area businesses donated over $11,000 dollars in prizes and gift certificates. 

Special recognition is being given to those who helped raise the most funds for the cause. 

                                Top Collectors and Grand Prizes awarded:

 Adult Grand Prize winners:

TIE - Julie Bergman raised $310.00 and won by a flip of a coin a 2 night stay in a condo in Branzon and two tickets to Silver Dollar City.  Tina Zartman raised $310.00 and won 6 adult and 6 children passes to Super 8 Showdown & Dirt Track Event at Heartland Park.  Adam Ronnebaum collected $300.00 and won four passes to a T-bones game w/ VIP parking, 8 x 11 autographed picture of Chief player Derrick Johnson, and a $20 gift certificate to Bern Café.

High School winners:

Jack Nolte $165, Shania Gormley $160, and Zack Burger $125 all won 1 pass to KT Paintball Games, LLC and two tickets to a local Hollywood Theater.

15 and under winners:

Rachel Kuenzi raised $320 and choice to win a 30 minute Airplane ride with two additional passengers, 6 KC Zoo Passes and 4 Science City Passes.  AJ Lay collected $295 and won a night stay in Topeka, passes to Kansas Children’s Discovery Center, and passes to Sports Center for several 18 holes of mini golf.  Kaileigh Mortroff collected $128.00 and won a night Stay at Hiawatha Lodge and roller skating passes for her and 6 friends at Sycamore Springs.  

Honorable mention goes to the following BBBS staff and board that were ineligible for any of the grand prizes, but collected $1000 plus in pledges to allow the program to match more children with deserving positive role models:  Jillisa Strathman $2,500, Laura Blevins $1,500, Angie McGuire $1,100, and Jennifer Huber $1,000.
