(KLZA)-The Humboldt Rural Fire District is getting a new truck.
That follows the action of the Richardson County Commmission after fire district representatives were joined by a Bank of Table Rock official to make the request.
At issue was the purchase of a 2013 Ford F550 fire truck, a cost of around $143,000.
The commission gave their approval to the purchase, which will be financed over five years at 2.5 percent interest.
Humboldt taxpayers will foot 40-percent of the cost, while the remaining 60 percent, or $88,000 will be covered by rural Humboldt.
