( KNZA )-A St. Joseph woman has been hired as the new director of the Hiawatha Foundation for Economic Development.
HFED President Gene Hillyer introduced Jessica Kisling to the Brown County Commission Monday morning as the economic development organization presented their quarterly report.
Hillyer said Kisling, a student at Missouri Western, will officially begin work Wednesday replacing Don Nigus.
Nigus resigned from the part-time position in March, but agreed to help until a replacement was hired.
Hillyer said Nigus will also be helping Kisling with some projects after she comes on board.
