U.S 77 Resurfacing Project Begins in Marshall Co
05/07/2013

( KMZA )-- Due to weather delays last week, a resurfacing project on a nearly 12 mile stretch of  U.S. 77 in Marshall County from U.S. 36 to the Kansas/Nebraska state line didn’t begin until Monday.
The Kansas Department of Transportation says crews are beginning the resurfacing work in the middle of the project and moving north to the state line then heading back south.
During the project, traffic will be reduced to one lane during daylight hours. Traffic will be directed through the project work zone via a pilot car operation.  Drivers should expect delays of up to 15 minutes maximum and are encouraged to use alternate routes, if possible.
Bettis Asphalt Construction Company of Marysville is the primary contractor on the just over $988,000 project, which is scheduled for completion in late May, weather permitting
