( KMZA )--A field sweep and clean-up day is being organized for Monday, June 3rd as part of the Corning Tornado Relief effort.
Weather permitting and provided the families feel the fields have had a chance to dry up, volunteers will be walking the fields that have been debris littered from the tornado that struck May 28th.
Those who would like to help are asked to meet at the Corning Community Center at 9 o’clock Monday morning. Your asked to wear boots and work clothes. You should bring buckets or trash bags. Lunch and beverages will be provided.
Organizers say several communities have expressed interest in helping by involving area youth who are in need of community service hours.
Also monetary gifts can be dropped off at any branch of the First National Bank of Centralia. (Corning, Vermillion, Seneca or Centralia).
In addition, food & other items are being accepted at the Corning Community center.
