Kansas Highway Patrol
( KNZA )-A Meriden man was seriously injured Friday night in an ATV accident on a Jefferson County road.
The Kansas Highway Patrol says 49-year-old Adam Kern was traveling south on Village Greens Road, south of K-92, when he lost control of his ATV, which overturned and landed on him. Kern was transported to Stormont-Vail Regional Health Center in Topeka with disabling injuries. The Patrol says he was not wearing a helmet.
The accident was reported shortly after 8:30 Friday night.
