(KNZA)--Local emergency crews, including the Brown County Rescue Squad, rushed to the scene of a barn fire late this morning, attempting to battle the blaze to keep the fire from spreading.
It was reported 10 minutes after 11:00, on Plum Tree Road, with reports, from the scene, indicating that the barn, filled with hay, was fully engulfed and considered a total loss.
Nearby structures, not including any homes, were protected by the fire crews to keep the blaze from spreading further.
No injuries are reported; and, while speculation regarding the cause of the fire has focused on lightning accompanying late morning storms, no official confirmation has yet been available.
