Jackson Co Rodeo Planned For Weekend

(KNZA)--Rodeo action is set to happen in Jackson County Friday and Saturday, as the third annual Jackson County Rodeo again serves as the unofficial kick-off for the Jackson County 4-H fair, beginning Monday(Play Audio) 

That's Association spokeswoman Deb Dillner, who says the rodeo, which begins both evenings at 8:00, is again hosted by the Jackson County Fair Association(Play Audio) 

Dillner says the gates for the rodeo open at 6:00 both evenings, and coolers, for a low cost, will be allowed this year(Play Audio)

The rodeo action will take place at the Northeast Kansas Heritage Complex, 1 ½ miles south of Holton, on Highway 75 and a ¼ mile west on 214 road.  Attendees need to use the south entrance on 214. 

Meanwhile, a Pony Pull is planned for 2:00 Saturday afternoon at the Fair Grounds Show Arena in Holton.  Admission is free.
