(KAIR)--The summer season is dwindling to an unofficial close, as Atchison County high schools look to the start of the fall semester.
That's realized by district enrollment underway this week for Atchison's USD 409.
That happens until 6:00 this evening at the Atchison Elementary School gymnasium, and will continue Thursday from 3 until 7:00.
Preschoolers through 9th graders return to class on Wednesday, August 14th with all students back in the classroom the next day.
The students of the Atchison County Community Schools of USD 377 will enroll Thursday from 10 until 7:00 in the commons area of the Junior Senior high school building.
However, the district is allowing those who can't make it to enroll at the main office of their child's attendance center from August 5th through the 9th.
The first day of school for all students in the district is Thursday, August 15th.
Meanwhile, registration for those attending the private Maur Hill-Mount Academy Catholic School will be Saturday, August 10th, from 9 until 1:00.
