Jackson Heights Proposes 1.5 Mill Increase

(KNZA)--The Jackson Heights school district has published a proposed 2013-2014 budget that contains a 1.5 mill increase in the property tax levy.

The proposed budget contains an estimated tax rate of 53.1 mills, which is to generate $875,000.

The budget calls for total expenditures of more than $7.1 million, up from $5.6 million last year.

The USD 335 Board of Education will consider adoption of the budget following a public hearing at their August 12th meeting.
