Leavenworth Man Charged with Assault on Mo. Deputy

PLATTE CITY, Mo. (AP) - A Leavenworth, Kansas man accused of trying to run over a Missouri sheriff's deputy is charged with aggravated assault on a law enforcement officer.
 
The Kansas City Star reports that Bryan Quinley is jailed in Platte County on $200,000 bond. He also is charged with resisting arrest and unlawful possession of drug paraphernalia. No attorney is listed for him in online court records.
 
Authorities said they pursued Quinley on Friday afternoon from Leavenworth to the Platte County village of Farley, where a deputy fired shots at him.
