Auburn School Board Approves Expanding Budget Authority

(KLZA) -- The Auburn Board of Education approved expanding the 2013-14 budget authority by two percent as allowed by law when they met Monday. Superintendent Kevin Reiman explains that does not necessarily mean a tax increase for district patrons.  ( play audio :23 seconds ) 

In other business the School Board tabled action on a memorandum of understanding with a group wanting to raise funds for the construction of a performing arts center.  ( play audio :38 seconds ) 

Carla Mason, Manager of the school district owned State Theater in Auburn presented an update to Board members on the theater and some possible future programs and upgrades. ( play audio :43 seconds )
