(KNZA)--A local teenager, who put her singing talents on display in Omaha last weekend during auditions for TV's “American Idol,” won't be moving on to the television stage.
16-year-old White Cloud resident Kassydi Miler auditioned Sunday, performing the music of her idol, Johnny Cash. Ultimately, she was eliminated.
However, Miller says the opportunity was a great experience, allowing her to network with what she calls “a ton of cool people” and to meet the show's host, Ryan Seacrest.
Miller now sets her sites on next year, planning to audition again when “American Idol” returns to the local region.
For now, Miller's focused on her academic career, beginning her junior year at Doniphan West.
