Atchison Man Arrested on Drug Charges
(KAIR)--An Atchison man, already wanted on two warrants, is behind bars after law enforcement officials allegedly find him in possession of illegal drugs.
35 year old Larry Norris was taken into custody just before 4:30 Friday afternoon at the 200 block of High Street in Lancaster after the sheriffs office received a tip that he would be in the area.
When officers contacted Norris, they detected the odor of marijuana, which led to a search warrant being issued for the vehicle. Numerous items, including methamphetamine, marijuana, drug paraphernalia, and items which officials believe to have been stolen in an unrelated case, were found in Norris’ possession.
Norris was charged with distributing certain stimulants, possession of paraphernalia with intent to manufacture, possession of drug paraphernalia, and possession of marijuana and methamphetamine.
He remains confined in the Atchison County jail on a $50,000 bond.
