(KTNC) - As the sweltering weather conditions continue, the city of Falls City is opening up a cooling center for those seeking relief.
Prichard Auditorium will be open to the public from 8:00 a.m. until 8:00 p.m. through Labor Day. Those without air conditioning can go to the auditorium for relief from the high temperatures, which are forecast to top out in the mid-to-upper 90s through the weekend.
City officials say those seeking relief from the heat should remember that there will be high school volleyball practice at Prichard Auditorium from 3:30 until 6:30 each afternoon, so the public is asked to allow players complete access to the gymnasium floor during those hours.
