(KTNC) - Nebraska dropped several slots on the list of states where hitting a deer with your car is most likely, falling from 14th to 19th. The odds of a deer collision in Nebraska are one-in-131, down 22-percent compared to last year.
According to Ann Avery with State Farm, while you're less likely to hit a deer, the average cost to fix your car after a deer collision rose about three-percent -- to more than 34-hundred dollars.
The survey found the states where it's most likely to hit a deer are: West Virginia, Montana and Iowa. The state where such a collision is least likely is Hawaii.
