Patton Re-appointed Chief Judge of 22nd Judicial District

(MSC News)--The Kansas Supreme Court has re-appointed Judge Jim Patton as chief judge for the 22nd Judicial District.

 The announcement of the two-year appointment was made Wednesday by Chief Justice Lawton Nuss.  It is effective January 1st, 2014.

 Patton has served as a district judge since January 1995 in the 22nd Judicial District, which includes Brown, Doniphan, Nemaha, and Marshall Counties.

In a news release, Patton said he’s honored to have the opportunity to serve the 22nd District and looks forward to continuing his working relationships with the county commissions and the district’s hardworking, dedicated employees.

Patton, a native of Hiawatha, is a graduate of Hiawatha High School, Kansas State University, and Washburn School of Law.  He is a member of the Brown County, Northeast Kansas, Kansas, and American Bar Associations and is a member of the Kansas District Judges Association.
