Benedictine Sisters to Visit Seneca Sunday
(KMZA)--Seneca will play host to a regional celebration for the sesquicentennial celebration of the Benedictine sisters of Mount St. Scholastica of Atchison.
A special Eucharist Mass will take place at the Sts. Peter and Paul Catholic Church at 1 Sunday afternoon, followed by visiting throughout the afternoon. A reception and lunch for the Sisters will be held after mass in the Parish Hall.
The day in Seneca is the third of three special regional days being held during the year long celebration, which kicked off November 11th of last year, marking the beginning of the 150th year of the Benedictine Sisters’ presence in Atchison.
