(KLZA) Charges are pending against two juveniles following reports of two stolen pickups in Humboldt on Saturday, October 26th. The Richardson County Sheriff’s Office is investigating the theft of the two pickups.
Eric Eden reported his 1988 Chevy dually, four door truck taken from his residence, 1126 Cherry Lane. Eden also reported to the Sheriff’s Office that a Chevy S-10 pickup was in a ditch near his home.
The Chevy S-10 was later reported stolen from the NAPA building in Humboldt. Robert Mendenhall, owner of the NAPA building reported the pickup was at his business awaiting repairs. The S-10 is owned by Michael Kanel.
The Chevy dually truck owned by Eric Eden was later recovered in Nemaha County, Nebraska near the intersection of Highways 67 and 105 by a Nemaha County Sheriff’s Deputy. The pickup was impounded for processing by the Richardson County Sheriff’s Office. The S-10 was returned to the owner.
The investigation is ongoing.
