Roadwork is scheduled in far northwest Missouri this week, weather permitting.
In Atchison County, U.S. Highway 59 is closed for a bridge replacement project over the Tarkio River. The detour includes Route J and Highway 136. Shoulders are being repaired at various locations on Highway 59 in Atchison County, and on Highway 136 beginning at Highway 59 and going east to the Nodaway County line.
In Holt County, patching is scheduled to take place in various locations on Route N between Highway 59 and the Atchison County Line through Thursday. Shoulder repairs are planned in various locations on Route 118 between Highway 111 and Route P, with the work to take place today through Wednesday.
The Missouri Department of Transportation says that other construction or maintenance work may also occur on other roadways throughout the area, and many projects will include lane closures and possible delays.
