Auburn School Board Approves Agreements for Gymnasium Improvements
12/11/2013

(KLZA) -- The majority of the Auburn School Board meeting Monday night took place in executive session with board members discussing contract negotiations.

In open session the Board approved contracts with Irwin/Heartland Seating for the purchase of gym bleachers and Midwest Flooring for the purchase and installation of a gym floor.  This followed a legal review of the contracts.  These companies were awarded the bids to refurbish the high school gymnasium in Auburn next summer.

Superintendent Kevin Reiman says a settlement has been approved with EMC Insurance for a school bus damaged in an accident earlier this fall.  The district will receive $14,500 for the bus.

Auburn School Board members also approved the 2014 School Safety Plan which is an annual requirement.
