(KTNC)--One teen was killed and three others were injured in a crash on a Nodaway County road in northwest Missouri late Saturday night.
The Missouri State Patrol says the four teens were in a 2002 Mercury Cougar that went off Route V, four-and-a-half miles west of Maryville at 11:15 Saturday night.
Authorities say the car was eastbound on Route V when it went off the south side of the roadway. The driver, 18-year-old Maryville resident Ty Willtrout, overcorrected, causing the vehicle to roll, ejecting a female passenger. The teen who was ejected from the vehicle, 17-year-old Sydnie Messner of Graham, Missouri, was pronounced dead at the scene.
Willtrout was transported by Life Flight to the Heartland Regional Medical Center in St. Joseph with serious injuries.
Two other passengers in the vehicle, 17-year-olds Dalton Hall of Maryville and Ashley Scott of Maitland, were transported by ambulance to the Saint Francis Medical Center in Maryville with what were described as moderate injuries.
The State Patrol says none of the teens was wearing a seat belt.
