Hassebrook to Announce Lt. Gov. Running Mate Monday

     LINCOLN, Neb. (AP) - Democrat Chuck Hassebrook is ready to announce his running mate in the Nebraska governor's race.
     Hassebrook's campaign says he plans to announce his choice for lieutenant governor at the state capitol on Monday before traveling to Grand Island and Omaha.
     Hassebrook is a former University of Nebraska Regent and former longtime director of the Center for Rural Affairs.
     He is running against Republican and Omaha businessman Pete Ricketts. His father founded TD Ameritrade and his family owns the Chicago Cubs baseball team.
     Ricketts picked current Lieutenant Governor Lavon Heidemann as his running mate. Heidemann is an Elk Creek dairy farmer and former state senator.
