Auburn School Board Hears Update on New FFA Program
12/10/2014

(KLZA)-- The Auburn Board of Education met Monday.  FFA Instructor Ashton Bohling and members of the FFA presented information to the Board about the FFA program that was started in the Auburn Public Schools this year.

The Board also approved recognizing the Auburn Education Association to represent the districts teachers in negotiations for the 2016-17 school year.  A number of policy revisions were also approved by the Board.

The Board also approved the purchase of a new scoreboard for Bulldog Stadium. The current scoreboard was new when the stadium was constructed in 1993.  Parts are no longer available if there is a breakdown with the scoreboard.

The total cost for the new scoreboard, including installation is expected to be just over $16,000 but with some donations from boosters the total cost to the district is expected to total about $10,000.  The scoreboard is being purchased from Daktronics in South Dakota. It should be in place for soccer season next spring.
