(KLZA)-- The Auburn Board of Education met in Peru Monday evening. Each year the Board meets once in Peru, once in Brownville and once in Julian, communities included in the District 29, service area.
The Board voted to set the rate for students attending a 3-week summer school session at $150. If the student successfully completes the program the money is reimbursed.
May 14th was approved as a student non-attendance day and a staff in-service day due to a district track meet the school will host.
A number of policy revisions were also approved during the meeting. Contact corrections were approved for Principals Jackie Kelsay and Vernon Golladay and for Nancy Fuller. Superintendent Kevin Reiman explained that last month when the salaries for the positions were approved, the numbers from the previous year were added in, instead of the new salaries.
Job description revisions were also discussed for the Special Education Director, Superintendent and Administrative positions. Reiman says the current job descriptions are outdated.
