(KLZA)-- The Auburn Board of Education approved a budget of nearly $11.8-million for Fiscal Year 2015-16 when they met Monday evening. The tax property tax requirement will be $6,384,000.
Superintendent Kevin Reiman said the levy, including a bond payment, will be just over $1.08 per $100 of assessed valuation for most patrons. A few patrons in the Stella area who entered the district after the bond was passed will pay just short of $1.05 per $100 of assessed valuation. The amount for these patrons is up 2.2-cents.
A large expenditure the Auburn Board is putting money away for is a new roof at the Central Office. Approximately $280,000 is being placed in the building fund for the project, which is to be done in the next two years. The work is estimated to cost $250-300,000 dollars.
Board members also approved renewing the districts insurance policy with EMC with a 2-percent increase to $126,000.
