A Sabetha man is recovering from serious injuries suffered during an explosion last week at a Sabetha company.
Brockhoff Manufacturing owner, Roger Brockhoff, was reportedly working on a grain auger when the explosion occurred last Wednesday morning. Just what caused the explosion isn’t known at this time.
Brockhoff remains in the intensive care unit at the K-U Medical Center in Kansas City, and was scheduled to undergo surgery today
( Thursday ) for facial fractures.
An employee, Wil Edelman, received minor injuries during the incident. Edelman was treated at the Sabetha Community Hospital and released.
Brockhoff is president of the Prairie Hills USD 113 Board of Education.
A Caring Bridge website has been set up for those who would like to send electronic greetings and receive updates on Brockhoff’s condition. It can be found at www.caringbridge.org/visit/rogerbrockhoff.
