Dozens of citizens in Atchison joined millions around the nation Thursday in prayer and song as part of the National Day of Prayer.
Several Atchison pastors offered prayer, scripture and sermon during the 30 minute program.
One of those was Pastor Scott Pritchard of Faith Valley Church of God.
Pritchard shares his thoughts on the importance of prayer in the world.

The program also featured proclamation for Atchison County Commissioners and City Commissioners, musical tributes from the Atchison Catholic Elementary School, presentation of the colors by Atchison Police, and the reciting of the Pledge of Allegiance by Atchison Child Care.
