A Highland woman has been convicted of aggravated endangerment of a child.
26-year-old Cassie Collins pleaded guilty last week in Doniphan County District Court to the felony charge.
Sentencing is set for June 6th.
The preliminary hearing for co-defendant, 25-year-old Brandon Mottin of Lancaster, is set for May 22nd. Mottin is charged with aggravated battery.
The two-year old victim suffered serious burns and bruises, and following the incident was taken to Children’s Mercy Hospital in Kansas City.
Mottin remains in the Doniphan County Jail on $100,000 bond and Collins on $50,000 bond.
